Civil CAD Designer

R2T is accepting applications for an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join our growing engineering group in Atlanta, Ga area. Typical assignments will entail completion of civil engineering design and drafting related tasks associated with all facets of municipal water, wastewater, and storm water related projects. The ideal candidate shall have proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D for various types of Engineering/Surveying/Planning type projects.

  • In coordination with engineers and other designers/technicians, produce drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepare conceptual plans, permit sets, bid documents, drawings, addenda, and other work product as required of the scope.
  • Provides coordination between various sheets and disciplines of a plan set, neat and legible drafting, line weight control, and possesses a working knowledge of current National CAD Standards and local code requirements.
  • Helps identify and develop sound solutions for the civil design of water, wastewater, and storm water related facilities. Such tasks could include preparing plan and profiles for roads and utilities, grading and drainage plans, cut and fill calculations, calculating flow lines of wastewater and storm sewer gravity systems, etc.
  • Provides design review and quality control reviews of design and drafting components as required.
  • Keeps project management advised of work status, workload issues, issue resolution, and progress related to the work assignment.
  • Maintains project records and performs all other assigned duties.


  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in the production/design and drafting of civil/stormwater engineering projects.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely with written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with others effectively on large scale water, wastewater and stormwater projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Knowledge of additional CAD software such as Revit is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
  • Soil and Erosion control designer certificate or ability to obtain it.
  • Capacity to exercise independent judgment and initiative.

R2T is accepting applications for an experienced Foreman with mechanical and piping construction experience to join our construction group in the metro Atlanta, GA area.

Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise and direct workers with installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Plan and lay out work for crew to meet timelines and productivity goals after consultation with superintendent.
• Studying drawing, blueprints, specifications and work orders.
• Coordinates with superintendent to obtains necessary materials and supplies for jobs.
• Enforces safety precautions for the protection of assigned crew, the environment and the public.
• Instruct new employees on the general and subject specific elements of water and wastewater operations.

Minimum Requirements:
• 6 years of experience in Water and Wastewater construction operations.
• Must plan and implement work in a safe manner complying with OSHA and R2T’s safety policies
• Demonstrated knowledge of occupational hazards and precaution standards applicable to water distribution, waste-water treatment and associated systems.
• Demonstrable skills in carpentry, pipe laying, and general construction.
• Ability to recognize problems, initiate remedial action, and implement policies.
• Ability to plan, delegate, and supervise.
• Ability to interpret, work from, and explain sketches, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and specification sheets.
